Grading Standards

We follow Goldmine grading. Every record is examined under direct light, played through on reference equipment, and graded on both media and sleeve. No guesswork — only evidence.

M
Mint
Unplayed. Sealed or as-new. Perfect in every way. Factory perfection only — no excuses.
NM
Near Mint
Nearly perfect. Possibly opened but unplayed, or played once with care. No visible marks under direct light.
VG+
Very Good Plus
Shows some signs of play — light marks that don't affect playback. Sleeve has minor wear. The sweet spot for collectors.
VG
Very Good
Consistent surface noise in quiet passages. Visible groove wear. Sleeve shows clear handling. Still very playable.
G+
Good Plus
Significant wear — plays through but with notable noise. Sleeve may have splits, writing, or tape. Budget bin territory.
G
Good
Heavy wear. Plays without skipping but with constant surface noise. Sleeve damaged. Placeholder until upgrade found.
