Common Questions
All of our stoneware is fired to cone 10, making it fully vitrified and safe for dishwasher and microwave use. We recommend hand washing for pieces with gold or platinum lustre details. Our wood-fired pieces are dishwasher safe but develop a richer patina with hand washing over time.
Stoneware is durable everyday ware. Avoid sudden temperature changes — don't move a piece from freezer to oven directly. For unglazed or matte surfaces, a quick soak before first use helps prevent staining. Store carefully to avoid chipping — felt pads between stacked bowls work well.
Absolutely. We love working on custom orders — from a specific glaze color to a full dinnerware set. Custom work typically takes 4–8 weeks depending on complexity and kiln schedule. Reach out through the form above or email us directly to start the conversation.
Yes, we work with a small number of restaurants, cafés, and independent shops. Wholesale orders have a minimum of $500 and lead times of 6–10 weeks. We can match glazes to your brand palette. Contact us with details about your space and needs.
Despite our careful packing, transit damage occasionally happens. If your piece arrives broken or chipped, contact us within 48 hours with a photo. We'll send a replacement or issue a full refund — your choice. Please keep the original packaging for the carrier claim.
Currently we ship within the continental United States only. International shipping is something we're working toward — join our mailing list to be the first to know when we expand. If you're visiting Montana, we're happy to hold a piece at the studio for pickup.
In-stock items ship within 3–5 business days. Delivery typically takes 5–7 business days for standard shipping. We use USPS Priority for smaller items and UPS Ground for larger pieces, always with insurance and tracking.
